A fantastic company to work with. Two large trees fell, one hitting the other and then my house (no structural damage). Mills came out Monday, returned Tuesday, and safely removed everything despite the tricky situation. They cleaned up thoroughly, protected my lawn, and even left a stack of firewood at my request. They did a great job cutting my trees and cleaning up afterwards. I have only one issue: As I watched from inside my house, One of the workers cut a limb and dented the rail of my chain link fence. The business owner apparently thought I hadn't seen this and he said nothing about it. I forgot to mention this to the owner at the time. He did not offer to replace the fence rail. When I tried to contact me later, he did not return my phone call.

I Hired this company because of reviews by my neighbors. Their estimator,Alan gave me an estimate ($1750) to raise the canopy on two trees,side trim our tree line,and trim a small weeping cherry tree. When they arrived,we needed to change some of the work..remove and grind out the stump of the cherry tree.This added only $100 to the bill. all in all,i would have no problems recommending this company.

They showed up on time for estimate, on time for the work, did a great job, cleaned up the mess and left posts and mulch where I wanted it. Will definitely use again if we need more tree work

My dad and I planned to remove a tree beside one of his mobile homes, but after looking it over I realized it could fall into the neighbor’s power line. I called Alan Browning with Mills Expert Tree Service and he came out right away, gave us a fair price, and had his crew there the next morning. They removed the tree without damaging the mobile home and cleaned the yard so well there was nothing left for our tenant’s mower to hit. It reminded me that tree work is best left to professionals. Mills came out, took a look on Monday afternoon and then came back on Tuesday and completely removed everything. It was a tricky job with the one tree lying on top of the other and both being large trees and them being on my house and my fence. They did excellent clean up. They were very careful with my lawn and grass with the equipment they used and no issues. They even left me a nice little stack of logs that I could use for firewood in our outside firepit at my request. Highly recommend working with them. Friendly, professional, and quick!

They were GREAT! As soon as the crews arrived they immediately got to work and continued to work quickly, efficiently and professionally. I was amazed at the quality of the work itself and also at the incredible cleanup job they did afterwards. We will absolutely use them again.

I have an acre lot with many trees. Several trees needed pruning, and some needed to come down. They also did stump grinding, which is a big help. The crew worked together like a well-oiled machine! They did a great job, gave me some good advice, and cleaned up my yard. Thanks guys!

The bottom line is that JD Mills is an expert tree company that provides excellent service for a fair price. They bring an experienced crew of exceptional people to the job. They use a bucket truck for the high limb work and grind the waste as they go. Safety for their crew and for homeowner's property is obviously a high priority. Their crew displays amazing teamwork; everyone is always busy and they all share in whatever needs to be done. JD Mills notified me three days in advance of their arrival. Cutting one of the trees required dropping the power line to my house. JD Mills notified the power company and the line was dropped 30 minutes before the tree crew arrived. That tree was the first one cut and then they worked their way across the yard. Altogether, the job took slightly more than two days. These were large oak trees more than 40 years old, so this was not a job for amateurs. I couldn't be more pleased with both their promptness and the quality of the work. There's no doubt someone who would have undercut JD Mills price, but I doubt that anyone would have provided better overall service. They are well worth what they charge. Whenever we have tree work to be done, we will call JD Mills, and you'll be well-pleased if they do your tree work for you.

We have used JD Mills Expert Tree Service twice this year. The first time we called, Alan went out to our house and called that afternoon and gave us a very fair price for taking out thee (3) trees in our front yard, plus grinding the stumps. When Alan and his team arrived on the morning to actually cut the trees they were courteous and professional. They were able to take out all three (3) trees with very little to no damage to our front yard. The second time we used Alan and his team they cut and removed approximately 15 trees from our back yard. Again they were courteous and professional. They showed up on time and got right to work. We will be calling on them again in the future to remove a few more trees.

I sent a message through Angie's list on a Monday and received a phone call about 10 minutes after sending the message. They scheduled to come and quote the same afternoon. They were on-time, very friendly and helpful. I was told they had a cancellation the next day and could come out at 8:30am to start on the work. He told me exactly what would be done. Again, the team was 100% on time, did a great job, cleaned up and the price was as expected (and I felt it was very reasonable). Great customer service is often hard to find and is of great value to me. If you are looking for a company that is 1. responsive 2. on-time and 3. Does what they say they will do....look no further! I have no reservation in giving them a high recommendation.

Great job! John had his team onsite this morning and completed the work today. Very pleased. Roof, driveway, and carport all cleaned up. Yard cleared - nice pile of mulch and sawdust from stumps. Very professional. Did exactly what they said. Will definitely use JD Mills if I need tree service in the future.

The work that was done by the tree experts from J.D. Mills was excellent!! They were punctual, professional and very friendly. Initially, they walked the property and answered all of our questions, provided a very competitive estimate and followed through on their statement of work and estimate. J D Mills Tree Service did an outstanding job on our Leland Cypress trees. We must have a row of at least two dozen of these trees and they were badly in need of attention. Alan and his team handled the entire job in an exceptionally professional manner. They arrived at the agreed time and went straight to work. Every detail from start to finish was completed with nothing left undone. My trees now look the best ever in years. After the job was done I found no trace of them even being there except how much nicer my trees now looked! John Was EXCELLENT! He came out, looked at how dangerous the situation with the tree was. Squeezed me in the very next day. He quote was right on target with all the other quotes I had gotten. He and his crew were on time, courteous, professional and they fully cleaned up after themselves. My backyard is difficult to navigate, they took great care not to cause any damage and worked around several power lines. One of the biggest reasons I selected him was because he used a cherry picker truck. I feel for my situation it was much safer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

They were very prompt and responsive. They were able to get it done within a couple of hours of getting the phone call.

JD Mills provided the best estimate by far (and very quickly) and when they did the work they did a very good job. Their communication between giving the estimate and finally getting the work done could have been better. I don't believe I ever got a final start date on the work. I just came home one day a few weeks (and a few phone calls) after receiving the estimate and the trees were gone.

I had a number of trees to remove and these guys did an excellent job....including removal of the trees....also cleaned up after themselves and even did a couple of extra favors and trimming....I couldnt be more happy with this company and would definitly use them again.....I personally think they are the best out there and the price was very competitive with the other companies I called.

The crew did a great job. They worked hard for two days to safely cut the trees down, grinded all the stumps and did an excellent job cleaning up the area. Update: We had a landscaping company come out to scrape all of the stump grindings off the soil and level the yard so that we can grow grass and have a nice backyard. The workers found about 5 stumps that were not ground. This is disappointing since we were looking forward to have a nice level back yard that would be easy to mow and safe for our kids to play on.

Excellent service! I had storm damage on Friday morning, and called Mills mid monring on Friday. They were at my house before noon and gave us a quote and time to do the work. They were back by 9:00 AM on Monday, and all work was done before noon. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I made a 5:30 appointment for a quote. Alan was right on time for that appointment. We walked around the yard together. As I pointed out what I wanted done, he took the necessary notes and was able to give me a couple of quotes on the spot. I knew a few trees had to have attention, but had considered all of them. He pointed out what would need to be done in several circumstances and how the trees should be trimmed. He assured me that they are insured and offerred to fax a copy of their insurance pages to me. The insurance companies faxed copies of the dec pages the next day. I am not a tree expert, so I have to depend on the professionals to do what they say they will do. After speaking with Alan and looking over a few other proposals, I decided to go with J.D. Mills. Called to schedule the appointment. They came out the following week to take care of all the trees. It was a beautiful job. The team was on time. They started early in the morning and worked until about 3:00. I did go by at lunch to see how things were going and spoke with the foreman who has been with the company for 30 years. I was expecting to see what I had seen before, when I had a couple of trees topped. Bare trunks and a few partial limbs. These trees were thinned out but still look like trees. We still have the shade and I don't feel that they were scalped. After checking this out on the internet and a couple of other sources, I have discovered that trees should not be topped, but the dead branches and any crowding should be cut away. It has been a learning process all the way around. It was a clean job. They brought a chipper in with them. Cleaned as they worked. You would never have known anyone had worked all day long other than the pruned trees. I feel they did an excellent job and I recommend their work.

THEY MADE SURE THAT ALL THE DEBRIS WAS PICKED UP AFTER THEY GOT THE JOB DONE. THEY WERE EXTRA CAREFUL OF MAKING SURE THAT THE BRANCHES AND THE TREES DID NOT FALL ON OR DAMAGE ANYTHING.
